VOICE LESSONS

Voice Coaches aren't just for singers. My vocal coaching is for professional public speaking, academic presentations, theater performances, and yes, for aspiring and professional singers! 
I approach the voice in a holistic way with appreciation and respect for each individual instrument.

Whether you are curious about auditioning for a talent show, prepping for college auditions, or facing an important presentation at work, each lesson is specifically tailored to the student’s needs, goals and abilities. 

My goal is to help you find your authentic voice, to feel the power of it, and to experience the joy and freedom of the unbound voice.

PROFESSIONAL SINGER, SONGWRITER & VOCAL COACH

SINGER
Among her many awards, Chris was a six time winner on Star Search, and recipient of the Motor City Music Award, Talent Deserving Wider Recognition for her work as front person and songwriter in the band Jugglers and Thieves. She has continued to write, produce and perform her own original music as well as Jazz standards, Celtic Music and several CDs of spiritual music for meditation. She is also the voice on many long running TV and radio commercial spots. 

She has been a private voice instructor for over 17 years and has taken students all the way to American Idol and The Voice. Her goal in teaching is to help each student realize the fullness of their expression whether they are preparing for an audition, writing and performing their own music or honoring a deep longing to feel the joy of song in their own bodies.

Chris has served as both an Umze, or chanting master of traditional Tibetan Buddhist chants and mantras as well as a church choir director. She also directs children’s choirs and adult rock choirs.

SONGWRITER

Chris has released seven albums of original music and performed her original music live on Backstage Pass, Fox 2 Morning Show, Homepage – WFUM TV Flint and The Mitch Albom Show. She teaches creativity and songwriting workshops (University of Michigan 2020). 

VOCAL COACH

Chris focuses on individualized to support the singer and help them expand their range. Lessons incorporate classical voice technique as well as information gained from more than twenty years of professional singing in Rock, Jazz, R and B, Country and Spiritual music. Drawing on the practical experience of professional singing and body centered meditation techniques, Chris helps students refine their own instruments, develop stage presence and enhance their ability to connect with their audience.
